Reno Tahoe Snow Report

Reno Tahoe is a high desert area nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, meaning the temperatures in the winter months average between 25 and 45 degrees with a high chance of rain or snow. The Lake Tahoe area is at a higher elevation, so temperatures tend to be even cooler.

    Ski Resort Snow Levels

More than 300 sunny days per year in the Reno Tahoe area means that almost every winter day is the perfect snow day. Just make sure you dress in layers when you head out for some winter activities!

Before you plan your Lake Tahoe skiing trip, plan your travel and check current road conditions at Nevada DOT and Caltrans. Area ski resorts may experience delayed openings or temporary closures due to winter conditions so make sure to check the status of your favorite Tahoe ski resort before you head up the mountain.
