Beginners and experienced water sports enthusiasts will enjoy tubing, wakeboarding and waterskiing with these Lake Tahoe companies.

Ready to get your children excited about the water sports you love? Birkholm's Water Sports begins teaching children as young as three years old how to water ski!

Another great option for beginners is Lake Tahoe Water Ski School, where little ones start out by skiing on the instructor's skis, and then progress to skiing on their own. Lake Tahoe Water Ski School also provides instruction for adult beginners and those looking to improve their skills. They offer wakeboarding, wakesurfing and tubing as well.

In addition to their expertise in watersport lessons, High Sierra Water Ski School also offers boat and jet ski rentals.

    Lake Tahoe Boat Tours

Perfect for a party, romantic date or family outing, you can experience the lake in a whole new way from sunrise to sunset with Lake Tahoe boat tours. Sit back, enjoy refreshments and take in the breathtaking scenery on the deck of these sailboat, yacht, party boat or even paddle wheeler tours.

This cruise is great for those who want to get out on the lake and relax. Guests can kick back on the boat’s mesh trampoline while they take in the sights with a beverage and a snack.

    Thunderbird Lodge Yacht (Incline Village)

The Thunderbird Lodge Tour cruises around Crystal Bay while offering an assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, mimosas and other refreshments. The 3-hour tour takes place on a classic 1950s Woody. The tour ends with a trip down the lodge’s 600-foot tunnel that takes you to the boathouse where you’ll view the Thunderbird yacht, which is considered the most valuable wooden boat on the market.

    Cruisers Academy (Tahoe City)

Based out of Tahoe City, Cruisers Academy offers Intro to Sailing courses, day sailing, sunset tours, private lessons, sailing camps for kids and more. Safari Rose (Zephyr Cove)

The Safari Rose bills itself as the largest, most luxurious yacht on Lake Tahoe. It’s a hard claim to argue since the yacht itself is 80 feet long and has four bathrooms, dining room, heated salon, full bar, sundeck and fireplace. Several tour options are available, including the Emerald Bay Sightseeing Lunch Cruise, South Shore Sightseeing Cruise, Sunset Champagne Cruise and Sunset Winemaker Cruise. If you’re looking to cruise Tahoe in ultimate luxury, this may be your ticket.

    MS Dixie II (Zephyr Cove)

The MS Dixie II might be the most historic way to get out on the water. Departing from Zephyr Cove, this historic paddle wheeler will take you on a guided tour of the lake that includes informative history and a special video presentation. The tour lasts 2.5 hours and is great for taking in the scenery and snapping photos. Other tours are available, including lunch, dinner and sunset cruises.
