Reno is the perfect year-round golf destination with 300 days of sunshine per year with more than 40 golf courses that have built their 18 holes to embrace surrounding landscapes.
Washoe County Golf Course
In Reno, we are lucky enough to be home to the state’s oldest links ‚ the Washoe County Golf Course, which was established in 1934. This classic Reno golf course offers something for everyone from beginners to the most experienced golfers.
LakeRidge Golf Course
Lakeridge Golf Course offers options for daily use or membership. This semi-private year-round course is situated near the city center, offering great views of both the mountain scenery and downtown.
Wolf Run Golf Club
Did you know that Wolf Run Golf Club is the official home course to UNR’s golf teams? Golf enthusiasts of all levels can enjoy this course year-round. After your game, enjoy a bite to eat at The Grill at Wolf Run.
ArrowCreek Golf Course
Get some much-needed fresh air at ArrowCreek Golf Course, located in south Reno. Don’t have a ton of golf experience? ArrowCreek also offers lessons.
Red Hawk Golf Course
Red Hawk Golf Course is located in Sparks, near Spanish Springs, and is beautifully scenic, with natural lakes, bubbling springs and large cottonwood trees.

The Divine Nine Golf Courses
Just 30 minutes south of Reno, Nevada’s state capital, Carson City, offers the Divine Nine golf courses, totaling about 70,000 yards of greens and roughs, including Dayton Valley Country Club, Empire Ranch Golf Course and the Golf Club at Genoa Lakes.

Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course
Lake Tahoe is a short, scenic drive from Reno, NV and offers a dozen championship golf courses, including Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, where the star-studded American Century Celebrity Golf Championship is held in July. Edgewood is a public golf course in South Lake Tahoe nestled between the pine tree-covered Sierra Nevada mountains and the picturesque shoreline of Lake Tahoe. It is no wonder this Lake Tahoe golf course is rated one of Golf Digest’s top 25 public U.S. golf courses.
Incline Village Championship Golf Course
The Mountain Course and the Championship Course in Incline Village are two distinct courses that meet any skill level and can fit any budget.
Old Greenwood
In North Lake Tahoe, be sure to check out Old Greenwood, a four-season golf course designed by the great Jack Nicklaus and the home of the Barracuda Championship, a PGA TOUR golf tournament.
Gray’s Crossing
Gray’s Crossing is a Tahoe golf course offering fast greens and traditional designs. Gray’s Crossing also offers great food and a golf shop to pick up any last-minute items.
Coyote Moon Golf Course
Coyote Moon Golf Course rests on 250 acres of secluded rolling hills, nestled within majestic pines, granite outcroppings and the beautiful Trout Creek.
Old Brockway Golf Course
Old Brockway Golf Course was a 9-hole golf course in the country to become an Audubon cooperative sanctuary and has been rated as one of the top 10 golf courses in Northern California by Golf Today magazine.
Other Golf Courses Near Reno
Just one hour north of Reno-Tahoe, in the Graeagle/Portola area, you will find a collection of unique and picturesque golf courses nestled on the edge of the Tahoe National Forest. The Graeagle Meadows Golf Course offers 6,725 yards of what they call "extreme golf," which includes elevated tees and numerous water features among the towering pine trees. Another unforgettable 18-hole golf course is located at the Nakoma Resort and is aptly named The Dragon, offering greens perched on cliffs overlooking the Feather River. Be sure to check out Grizzly Ranch Golf Club - a sprawling par-72 golf course with generous fairways nestled in a mountainous landscape, making for a fun and challenging round. Golf Tournaments in Reno Tahoe
Taking place each summer is the Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR Golf Tournament. This tournament is played in the unique Modified Stableford playing format, which encourages the golfers to shoot for the pin and play more aggressively, creating more excitement for spectators. Watch some of the world’s best golfers as they compete for a $3.4 million purse and 300 FedExCup points. The American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament is one of the most anticipated golfing events in our area. It has helped raise millions of dollars to help support local and national charities and organizations. This tournament hosts chart-topping actors, singers and professional sports stars as they compete in a 54-hole Modified Stableford format while the public gets in on all the action!
