Want it all? Come and get it.
Spring in Reno Tahoe is a season like no other. Some of us refer this time of year as 'dual days' since you can literally experience two seasons in one day - the best of winter and a little bit of summer. If you're someone who can't choose just one hobby or you're traveling with a group with varied tastes, spring is the perfect time to visit. Head to the ski resort or on snowshoe hike in the morning, and be back into Reno in time for a self-guided art walk, drinks on a patio, a round of golf or a spa treatment. There's really no limit to what your itinerary can deliver, but Morgan Oliver-Allen and his friends have some ideas to get the wheels turning.

Rise and shine - winter is still here, and it’s calling your name. Hit the slopes at Diamond Peak for a morning of fresh powder and sweeping Lake Tahoe views. Whether you’re getting the adrenaline rush down the slopes or soaking in the scenery, this spot offers the perfect balance of adventure and chill. Not your first time on the slopes? Well, we’ve got you covered - the terrain caters to every level, from beginner to expert.

Après on the river
After skiing, head back to Reno for a riverside après-ski experience at The Shore. Grab a table near a fire pit and warm up with a cozy meal, tasty cocktail and a local brew. Their patio seating is the perfect spot to soak in the sunshine and Truckee River views. The only thing better than the setting is the company!

Take a hike
Start your day early with a snowshoe hike at Tahoe Meadows, located between Reno and Lake Tahoe. From this trailhead, you can make your way to Chickadee Ridge where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-covered Sierra Nevada peaks and Lake Tahoe. Bring a bit of bird seed to get a special visit from the trail's namesake birds.

Try your luck
After a morning in a winter wonderland, it's time to head back into Reno to test your luck! Whether you’re a seasoned player or a newbie, Reno’s iconic casinos offer everything from slots to poker tables, so try your hand at something new or go all-in on your favorite game. Feeling more adventurous? Make your way to the high-limit rooms or check out a live show at one of the many theaters and show venues on each property.

Grab a nightcap
All those high-stakes games can work up quite an appetite! Unwind and relax with a drink at the iconic Fireside Lounge inside the Peppermill . From craft cocktails to local beer, indulge in your favorites while enjoying the vintage vibes and soothing warmth of the fire.

Find inspiration around every corner
Start your morning off with a coffee in hand and set off on a self-guided art walk through downtown Reno or MidTown. The city streets are lined with artwork from Burning Man, as well as murals and neon art pieces that are sure to spark some inspiration.

Ok, let's unwind a bit
Phew! That was a packed weekend! After being inspired by all the colors and creativity, it’s time to switch gears and give your body the relaxation it deserves at the spa. Treat yourself to pure rejuvenation at one of Reno’s premier spas. It’s the perfect way to close out the adventure-filled weekend.
