Reno Arch

Pro tip: get up early after fresh snowfall for quiet streets and bluebird skies, or stay up late to capture the neon lights.

Chairlift Selfies

Reno Tahoe has the highest concentration of ski resorts in North America! This means it's easier than ever to grab your friends and head to the slopes. While spending the day at one of these world-class resorts, capture the moment and take some selfies on the way up the chairlift (just don't drop your phone!)

Frozen Waterfalls

Hiking is a year-round adventure in Reno Tahoe! Hike in the foothills of Reno or around Lake Tahoe and you're sure to discover a frozen waterfall or two this time of year. A local favorite is the hike to the Hunter Creek waterfall!

The Space Whale

Admiring artwork from Burning Man is easier than you think. From Black Rock City to downtown Reno, some amazing Burning Man art installations are displayed in Reno's City Plaza and along Reno's Neon Line. Chickadee Ridge

Snowshoe across the meadows at Mount Rose summit to Chickadee Ridge, and become one with nature. The curious chickadees, of which Chickadee Ridge is name, are known to perch on the hats, snowshoes and even hands of visitors! Have your fairytale moment and take a picture of a chickadee sitting calmly in your hand at the top of this ridge. While you're up there, snap a shot of the beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. You'll be able to see distant peaks of Desolation Wilderness, Crystal Bay and Relay Peak from this location.

Put your feet up and relax around a cozy fire pit this winter. There are plenty of picture-perfect fire pits for you and your friends to gather around after a long day of exploring. Grab a cocktail on the patio overlooking the Truckee River at the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa or warm up next to the fire pit at Grand Sierra Resort after a few turns on The Ice Rink.
